France advances to UEFA Nations League Final with win over Belgium
Mbappe and Benzema score as France defeats Belgium 3-2 to reach Nations League final
France booked their place in the UEFA Nations League final with a 3-2 victory over Belgium in the semi-finals on Thursday. Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema scored for the world champions, who will now face Spain in the final on Sunday.
Belgium took the lead through Yannick Carrasco in the 37th minute, but Mbappe equalized for France just before half-time. Benzema then put France ahead in the 55th minute, and Mbappe added another in the 69th minute to make it 3-1.
Belgium pulled one back through Romelu Lukaku in the 87th minute, but it was not enough to prevent France from reaching the final.
France will now face Spain in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday
France will be looking to win their first UEFA Nations League title when they face Spain in the final on Sunday. Spain reached the final with a 2-1 victory over Italy in the other semi-final.
The final will be played at the San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy.
