Closing Cottage of the Meadow is a Loss for All

I was devastated to learn that Cottage in the Meadow, our local hospice facility, is ending. This generous community raised millions of dollars to build the facility, which provides inpatient hospice services in Yakima.

The Cottage in the Meadows Will Cease Operations on or Before August 21st

Although the Cottage will be closing, Yakima still has two other hospice services that can provide care. However, the Cottage in the Meadow was a special place that provided a unique and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

The closure of the Cottage in the Meadow is a loss for all of us in Yakima. We will miss the compassionate care that the staff provided, and we will miss the beautiful facility that was a beacon of hope for so many.
